Passing

Focus really needs to be on the technique of an inside foot pass. Progress onto inside foot passing with movement. Depending how quickly they grasp it progress onto outside foot pass.

Control

Players should have good technique with the inside, outside and bottom of the foot. Progress to Aerial.

Shooting

Players should have good technique with side foot finishing and striking ball with laces.

Goalkeeping

Player should have basic technique in handling and distribution.

Heading

General technique. Attacking and Defending.

  • Arms – out for balance and protection
  • Shoulders and neck muscles
  • Where on ball?

Dribbling/Turns

Work all turns and all aspects of dribbling – Speed dribbling – Inside turn – Outside turn – In to Out – Progress to these (Drag Back – Step Over).
